If you’re not watching the Super Bowl for the football or the sneak peeks of Taylor Swift, you might be waiting for those moments when the Super Bowl commercials dominate the screen. Whether they are funny, weird, or heartfelt, a few commercials stand above the rest. Continue reading for our top fifteen best Super Bowl commercials, and see if you remember them too.

15. CeraVe: “Michael CeraVe”
Our first Super Bowl commercial selection is from CeraVe, a skincare company. They have Michael Cera headlining, promoting “his” product Michael CeraVe. It’s quite funny to see him interacting with both the product and two muscular dudes, but the best part is the ending. The clip switches to the CeraVe offices, and everyone in the room is not impressed. It’s not hysterically funny, but the awkwardness at the end sells it.
14. E*Trade: “Picklebabies”
Have you ever seen two toddlers playing pickleball and talking like adults? Well E*TRADE decided to make that happen during their Super Bowl commercial. Using adult voices and mouths, these two toddlers are a little unprepared to play against real grown-ups. Though the toddlers have no chance, the commercial conveys that E*TRADE can be used by anyone…even babies.

13. Hellmann’s: “Mayo Cat”
Hellmann’s brought a new meaning to a cat’s meow in their “Mayo Cat” commercial. Starring Kate McKinnon and her cat, the commercial promotes saving leftovers and other foods by using “may-ow.” The cat goes viral, appearing on cooking shows and the news, and each time the “may-ow” gets funnier. My favorite part of this commercial is that Hellmann’s produced a hilarious commercial, but it holds importance to the amount of food waste that is created each day.

12. Doritos Dinamita: “Dina & Mita”
When you think of the best Super Bowl commercials, Doritos is often brought to the forefront of the conversation. This year the brand promoted their Dinamita chips with a high-stakes chase between a young man and two older women named “Dina” and “Mita.” In the end, it doesn’t even matter, as actress Jenna Ortega takes the chips from her grannies and eats them herself. I’ve been waiting for a good Doritos commercial for a couple of years now, and I think this one hit the mark.
11. Dove: “Hardknocks: A Dove Super Bowl Film”
Though I enjoy funny commercials, there is something about serious or real commercials that makes them stand out. Take for instance Dove’s short film using the song “It’s a Hardknock Life.” They show clips of young girls falling while playing a sport and getting back up, but the truth is that 45% of girls quit sports by age 14. This is often due to self-image, and the idea that they cannot excel. Dove’s mission is to help bring confidence to young girls and keep them in sports, and there’s nothing better than that.

10. Verizon: “Can’t B Broken”
Beyonce fans should’ve enjoyed Verizon’s Super Bowl commercial, as she headlined trying to “break” the internet with incredible feats. As she continuously fails, Beyonce ends up in a spaceship performing in zero gravity. When even that fails, it shows the power of Verizon’s internet and promotes that you can use the service anywhere.

9. Reese’s: “Yes!”
No more Reese’s? “No!” Reese’s with caramel? “Yes!” This year Reese’s decided to make their commercial pretty straightforward, using “yes” and “no” to promote their new Caramel Big Cup. The actors in the commercial go to great lengths to show their distaste or support, and this is exactly what makes Reese’s jump into the top ten.
8. Kawasaki: “Mullets”
Mullets may have been popular decades ago, but they are making a fierce comeback for men’s hairstyles today, and even in a Super Bowl commercial! Kawasaki wanted to promote their new Ridge Side x Side, where business is in the front, and the party is in the back. Since this is also the ideology of the mullet, every time the Kawasaki passes something it grows a mullet! This included a dog, a bear, a bald eagle, and even bald wrestler Stone Cold Steve Austin.

7. State Farm: “Like a Good Neighbaa”
State Farm has consistently dominated the commercial world, starting from the very beginning with their “Jake From State Farm” who worked at the company. Nowadays, they have Arnold Schwarzenegger and Danny DeVito starring in their ads, a promotion of not only the company but of a State Farm Movie full of action. The best part of the commercial was Schwarzenegger’s consistent mispronunciation of the word “neighbor” due to his accent, making him sound almost like a sheep.

6. Paramount Plus: “Hail Patrick”
I enjoy Paramount Plus for many reasons, one of which is that they stream NFL games on Sundays. For their Super Bowl commercial, I was extra excited, as Miami Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa was starring alongside Survivor’s Jeff Probst and other characters on the platform. The funniest part is when Sir Patrick tries to throw Arnold to get to the top of the mountain, as he has a football-shaped head, but instead, he smacks right into the side. Ouch.
5. Dunkin’: “The DunKings”
America may run on Dunkin’ but Ben Affleck seems to be the King of this donut company. In a commercial headlining stars Ben Affleck, Jennifer Lopez, Matt Damon, and NFL superstar Tom Brady, the three men become “The DunKings.” Lopez is less than impressed, and Damon is only there to support his best friend Affleck as he sings his heart out about Dunkin’. It’s a hilariously funny clip that might make the Dunkin’ tracksuits a reality.

4. Uber Eats: “Worth Remembering”
Have you ever had that moment where you walked into a room and forgot what you needed? Uber Eats took a clever spin on this idea when Jennifer Aniston told a crewmember “In order to remember something, you have to forget something else.” This leads to an employee forgetting how to sit in a chair, David and Victoria Beckham forgetting her “Spice Girls” group name, and even Aniston herself forgetting her co-star David Schwimmer. It’s all to set up Uber Eats’s message to remember that their company delivers groceries.

3. Budweiser: “Old School Delivery”
When anyone watches the Super Bowl commercials, they are expecting to see the Clydesdale horses from the Budweiser commercials. The last couple of years though, Budweiser has not showcased their prized horses, but the wait is over. 2024 brought the Clydesdale horses back, this time bringing beer to a remote town in the middle of a snowstorm. I always enjoy watching Budweiser commercials, as they have become a staple of the Super Bowl.
2. Google: “Javier in Frame”
My top two Super Bowl commercials are similar because they both show how a company is going above and beyond to serve those who do not have the same opportunities as other people. The first one came from Google, called “Javier in Frame.” The commercial focuses on Javier, who struggles with poor eyesight but can use Google technology to still take pictures. This technology is huge for those who have a vision impairment, and the commercial still gives me chills every time I watch it.

1. NFL: “Born to Play” / Best Super Bowl Commercials
Our final contender for the best Super Bowl commercials of course comes from the NFL, where they promote their worldwide expansion of teaching football to kids who might not have the opportunity to play. It instills the idea that it doesn’t matter where you are born if you are born to play football. NFL players join in on the commercial, and I just love the fact that the NFL is promoting following your dreams, no matter how big they are.
