If this report is true, the internet is about to break. Mark Hamill has reportedly been offered the role of Vesemir in The Witcher Season 2. Fans pushed for this casting, and show creator Lauren S. Hissrich listened.

The report comes from We Got This Covered, and their sources have been right in the past, with reveals for Aladdin 2 and the Transformers reboot. It is now reportedly up to the actor, but unless Netflix have made a terrible offer, expect the internet to implode with exuberant fan reactions.
Who is Vesemir?
Vesemir is over two hundred years old, and is one of the oldest remaining witchers. He was a mentor and father figure to Geralt of Rivia (Henry Cavill) and others at Kaer Morhen, the School of the Wolf.

Hamill is best known as Luke Skywalker from the Star Wars saga, where he’s already played the part of a wise mentor. He fits The Witcher‘s role perfectly. This is how Hamill might look as Vesemir in The Witcher Season 2.
Season 2 information
Netflix have revealed that the show has added two new monster hunters. Paul Bullion (Peaky Blinders) and Yasen Atour (Strike Back) take the roles of Lambert and Coën respectively. Lambert was a prominent character in the books, and comes from the same School of the Wolf as Geralf of Rivia.

Season 1 was based on Andrzej Sapkowski’s The Last Wish and The Sword of Destiny short stories. Season 2 continues to adapt those stories while pulling from the book Blood of Elves. In the book, Geralt trains and protects Ciri (Freya Allan) as the Elvish insurgence unfolds.
