There are plenty of Netflix originals to watch starting at the beginning of April. Tons of highly anticipated shows and movies will be airing soon. 1. My Name is Mo’Nique, Comedy, April 4th

My Name is Mo’Nique is a new stand-up comedy special. She will discuss everything from her racist teacher to her grandmother’s sex warning. Her 2009 show was the last stand up comedy Mo’Nique has done to further her career in film. In this 60-minute stand up act, she spills it all.

2. Lewis Capaldi: How I’m Feeling Now, Documentary April 5th

Lewis Capaldi: How I’m Feeling Now is a documentary on the singer, Lewis Capaldi. It’s a vulnerable and authentic look at the pivotal moments in his career. You will take a look at his personal life as he struggles to balance the familiarity of home, normality, and all he’s ever known while he is the biggest star on the planet.

3. Beef, Comedy & Drama, April 6th

Beef will have ten episodes. It follows an incident that happens between two strangers after major road rage. It ends up getting more dangerous throughout the season. This dark comedy series stars Steven Yeun and Ali Wong. It is going to be funny and crazy wild. 

4. Transatlantic, Drama & History, April 7th

Transatlantic takes place in 1940 when two Americans and their supporters are trying to form a scrappy rescue operation. It will help artists, writers, and other refugees fleeing Europe during WWII. They are finding the most wanted writers and artists on the Nazi’s list. 

5. Chupa, Action & Adventure, April 7th

Chupa is a movie about a teenage boy named Alex visiting his family in Mexico, and he comes across a mythical creature hiding in his grandpa’s shed. If he wants to save the legendary creature, he and his cousins must go on the adventure of a lifetime. 

6.  Florida Man, Crime & Adventure, April 13th

Florida Man is about an ex-cop returning to his home state to search for a particular mobster’s missing girlfriend. There are so many unexpected twists and turns throughout the series. This is a mini series that is filled with lots of action and adventure.

7. Obsession, Thriller, April 13th

Obsession a drama-packed show about a surgeon’s affair with his son’s fiancée. It ends up turning into an intense thriller that will change their lives forever. It is a limited series that will keep you on the edge of your seat, wanting to watch every episode until you find out what happens.

8. Queens on the Run, Action & Adventure, April 14th

Queens on the Run is about four women taking a road trip they always planned to take in high school. They have no idea that they are in for a bumpy ride, which is both literal and figurative. This movie is filled with lots of action and adventure, so you’ll never be able to predict what comes of their journey.

9. Seven Kings Must Die, Action & Adventure, April 14th

Seven Kings Must Die is a movie about the wake of King Edward’s death. Uhtred of Bebbanburg and his companions are on an adventure across the fractured kingdom. They are in the hopes of uniting England once again. If you enjoy history about the seven kings, then you will enjoy this fiction Netflix original movie.

10. Phenomena, Horror, April 14th

Phenomena is a film about three middle-aged women that investigate paranormal activities. They are put to the test when Father Pilon ends up disappearing. The real Hepta Group inspires this movie since it is based on real life. 

11. Firefly Lane, Romantic Drama, April 27th

Firefly Lane is about two best friends, Tully and Kate, that support each other through the good and bad times. They have an unbreakable bond that carries them for years, from teens to their 40s. You see them go through it all and still hold their unbreakable bond through the tough times. Season 2’s episodes will be the final chapter of this show, so be sure to check out what happens.

12. Sweet Tooth, Apocalyptic & Post-Apocalyptic, April 27th

Sweet Tooth is about a boy that is half human and half deer. He tries to survive in a post-apocalyptic world with other hybrids that aren’t welcomed. In fact, humans try to hunt the hybrids down. He wanted to know how he was created and where his mother was, so he adventures outside the fence. He hopes to bring his family that is left in the world back together. 

13. A Tourist’s Guide to Love, Romance, April 27th

A Tourist’s Guide to Love is about an American traveler who travels to Vietnam. That is where a free-spirited tour guide opens her eyes to a stunningly adventurous way of life. If you are into romantic movies, this is a movie for you.
