If you’re unsure about joining Disney+, Amazon Prime Video is giving members the perk of $1.99 select Disney movie rentals and other Black Friday deals.
In the spirit of the Thanksgiving holiday, Prime Video customers can capitalize on some seriously awesome sales. A whole feast of add-on channels are available at 50 percent discounts for a period of three months!
Wow, is Amazon being generous right now (h/t and dap to Cord Cutters News for the Disney discount). It’s unclear just how long these offers will go on, so it’s worth capitalizing while you can!
Amazon Prime taking a small bite out of Disney
Disney just launched its streaming service on November 12 and has about all of its catalog of original animated features and Pixar movies. Once the outstanding exclusive rights deals to select films expire and Disney+ is worldwide, Amazon knows it won’t get many such rentals.
Thus, this short-term sale is a savvy and rather cheeky move, especially with many families gathering around the holidays.
Eventually, Disney+ will keep the youngsters entertained with its unique brand of family-friendly fare. The Mouse House isn’t breaking a sweat over this or anything. For now, though, Prime Video is having a bit of fun.
Which add-on channels have discount offers?
So many that it bears linking out to again, but here’s a highlight: an offer of commercial-free CBS All Access for $4.99 per month. That’s down from typical the $9.99 price tag.
Also included: Epix, Britbox, BET+, Nick Hits, SUNDANCE NOW, Comedy Central Now, Shudder, Smithsonian Channel PLUS and PBS Kids.
There’s more where that came from on Amazon’s digital Black Friday — and there’s something for everybody, quite honestly.
Amazon generally has excellent versatility in terms of the products it can offer. That’s true in its entertainment variety and in its expansive reach across numerous industries.
Get on over to Amazon Prime Video, because they’re in a giving mood for Disney and other brands leading up to Black Friday.
