21. Meet the Fockers (58%)
Opposites collide in this sequel to Meet the Parents. If you like the original, you’ll enjoy more of the same here. Dustin Hoffman and Babara Streisand join the cast, making for an even bigger star-studded ride.
20. American Pie (61%)
We all remember the apple pie scene right? If you want to relive that and the awkwardness of pre-college life, American Pie is the perfect nostalgia trip. Plus, it’s hilarious!

19. Mamma Mia! (66%)
Love 70’s pop group Abba? If you do, you’ll love Mamma Mia! The movie is all about a bride-to-be looking for her real father in a musical that uses the group’s hits.
18. Fast & Furious (67%)
A billion-dollar franchise that continues to spawn spin-offs and pull fans to the box office. If you love fast cars and action, you can’t go wrong with the fourth film in the series, Fast & Furious.

17. E.T. The Extra-Terrestrial (72%)
Another movie that’s a cultural phenomenon. Directed by Steven Spielberg and co-starring future Hollywood A-lister Drew Barrymore, E.T. The Extra-Terrestrial is about a friendly alien’s desperation to escape Earth and return home.
16. Bridesmaids (76%)
This is easily the best girls-behaving-badly movie going. It presents the competition between women in friendship and life, in a crude, brash and over-the-top way never done before.
15. Meet the Parents (79%)
The original and best, Meet the Parents pits Robert DeNiro and Ben Stiller against each other with hilarious outcomes. One of the most memorable scenes is watching DeNiro hook son-in-law-to-be Stiller to a lie detector. It’s great fun!

14. Erin Brockovich (81%)
Hollywood superstar Julia Roberts won an Oscar for her role as the titular character. Erin Brockovich is a fantastic drama, based on a true story about a single mother who takes down a company causing cancer via water pollution.
13. Despicable Me (82%)
The whole Despicable Me franchise is available on NBC’s streaming service Peacock April 2020. In my opinion, Despicable Me is one of the best animated movies ever! Its sequels, not so much. Despicable Me 2 attained 82 percent, and the third movie got 54 percent by critics on Rotten Tomatoes.
12. Brokeback Mountain (82%)
Brokeback Mountain had Oscar nominations and wins galore. It stars Jake Gyllenhaal and the late Heath Ledger in a movie about a secretive relationship between two cowboys.
11. Knocked Up (83%)
Knocked Up is a story about what happens next when party animal Ben Stone (Seth Rogen) gets Alison Scott (Katherine Heigl) pregnant after a one-night stand. It’s written and directed by Judd Apatow (40 Year-Old Virgin), so you know it’s good.
10. Field of Dreams (86%)
Even if you haven’t seen this 1989 classic starring Kevin Costner, you’ll know its famous quote: “If you build it, he will come.” Whether you like baseball or not, Field of Dreams is a great, heartfelt movie.

9. Shrek (90%)
Shrek (Mike Myers), Donkey (Eddie Murphy) and Princess (Cameron Diaz) come together to voice an animated movie that pokes fun at fairy tales. Not only is it brilliant fun, it still looks fantastic — despite being made in 2001!
8. Do the Right Thing (90%)
Set on the hottest day of the year, on a street in Brooklyn when hate and bigotry build up and explodes as violence. An exceptional film, written and directed by Spike Lee (Inside Man).
7. Jaws (90%)
This 1975 Steven Spielberg blockbuster has the most iconic music and gets credited with sparking people’s fascination with sharks. Starring Roy Scheider, Robert Shaw, and the fantastic Richard Dreyfuss, it’s a timeless classic that can be watched over and over.
6. Dallas Buyers Club (91%)
Dallas Buyers Club is about Ron Woodroof’s (Matthew McConaughey) real-life story. After being diagnosed with AIDS, he works the system so he and others can get the medication needed. McConaughey and co-star Jared Leto won Oscars for their roles in the movie.
5. The Bourne Ultimatum (91%)
The whole Bourne franchise is available to stream on NBC’s Peacock come April 2020, but not all are worth watching. The original trilogy, including Identity (91 percent), and Supremacy (90 percent) are great movies. The best is The Bourne Ultimatum, which concludes the trilogy. The Bourne Legacy (58 percent) and Jason Bourne (55 percent) aren’t as good.

4. The Breakfast Club (92%)
All I need to say is “John Hughes” and this movie should be on everyone’s list of best movies. Made in 1985, The Breakfast Club is about a group of high school students meeting in Saturday detention, and it’s excellent!
3. A Beautiful Mind (93%)
Russell Crow got nominated for an Oscar for his role as John Nash in A Beautiful Mind. A brilliant mathematician come secret cryptologist ends up in a story of intrigue and panic.
2. Casino (93%)
Casino is directed by Martin Scorsese, and its cast includes Sharon Stone, Robert De Niro, Joe Pesci, and James Woods. Do you really need to know anything else?
1. Back to the Future (94%)
Everyone has watched Back to the Future! This is more than a movie — it’s a cultural phenomenon. Characters like Marty McFly (Michael J. Fox) and Dr. Emmett Brown (Christopher Lloyd), along with the DeLorean car are timeless. Director and co-writer Robert Zemeckis made something that will last forever.
