Today on Binge Kill Chill, TC and Swaggy-D take a look at what’s new on Netflix this May 2020

Picking out Originals including The Wrong MissySpace Force, and Sweet Magnolias for the BKC treatment.

The guys also dig into what-some-might-call “classics”, including Underworld, Just Go With It, and Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory (1971).

CHECK OUT: A review for Amazon’s “Upload” and an argument over Tarantino.

Disclaimer For The Show

Another episode, another disclaimer. This time it’s because of comments made regarding George Clooney and CNN.

OPINION: Hollywood should stick to acting.

Creative genius Ricky Gervais supports that sentiment (at award ceremony’s).

EVIDENCE: Ricky Gervais said at the Golden Globes: “If you do win an award tonight, don’t use it as a platform to make a political speech. You’re in no position to lecture the public about anything, you know nothing about the real world.”

Before the podcast, when picking the best of Netflix this May 2020, Trial By Media was the show that titillated the most.

Check out the trailer below:

CHECK OUT: A HBO Max preview and a BKC verdict on “Gangs of London” (epic new show).

Yet, it becomes less exciting when the executive producers are from Hollywood and CNN, for two reasons:

  • We’ve heard their take on everything 100-times over
  • Executive producer roles can be very influential in a production

Rest assured, this isn’t about what side of politics someone is on. If it was Fox News making a docuseries about the mainstream media, it would be as disappointing.

WHAT WE WANTED: A docuseries that’s unbiased, hard-hitting, fact throwing, and a punch to reality.

What we’ll likely get is propaganda. Hollywood was right to speak out on the trial and that the media covered it accurately and fairly. How very dull.

Trial By Media is available May 11, expect our verdict shortly after.
