While most movies we consume fall into the action, romance, or mystery genres, some fit right into the “weird” category. Whether it’s due to odd plot lines, questionable characters, or just weird settings, these five weird movies on Hulu are sure to make you say “What the…?”
5. Skinamarink (2022)
There’s something eerily creepy about the feeling of being watched, which is present throughout Skinamarink. Two young children wake up in the middle of the night to find their father has disappeared, and all the windows and doors are gone too. The two kids huddle under blankets and pillows in the living room waiting for an adult to return, but something else is watching instead.

4. The Omen (2006)
Our fourth selection is The Omen, a weird film about a child born of evil. Katherine and Robert appear to have everything, with a happy marriage and a position as a US Ambassador, but all they truly want is a family. When Katherine gives birth to a stillborn, Robert is approached by a priest to take a healthy newborn home instead. When weird things start happening though, Robert begins to feel as if the child is evil brought to life.
–IMDb score: 5.5
3. Censor (2021)
While this movie may seem like a mystery, there are weird elements to Censor too. Enid Baines works for the British Board of Film Classification, stringently removing or banning explicit content. Earning the nickname “Little Miss Perfect,” Enid’s life at home is drastically different as she talks to her dad about her sister Nina’s disappearance. Even though her parents believe she’s deceased, Enid still holds on to hope that she is just missing.
