Twilight movies featuring four installments based on Stephenie Meyer’s series sharing the same name is supposed to be a supernatural-romance novel full of heartfelt words and drama. It’s not really supposed to be funny.
But since its release, it’s constantly been laughed at by fans and haters around for the awkward acting, weird lines, and just hilarious moments that are awkward. So what are the best Twilight movie quotes that capture these weird moments that make Twilight, while not the perfect series, a hilarious series that many still can’t put down to this day?
The movie t follows Bella Swan who moves to a small town with her father and ends up falling in love with a vampire, Edward Cullen. This also causes a rift with her long-time best friend, Jacob, who is with a rival family of werewolves — the ultimate love triangle.
6. “Doesn’t He Own a Shirt?” Edward
The teen romance story is filled with cheesy and hilarious lines, but also hilarious and unnecessary actions. For instance, almost every time Jacob went on screen through the movies, he was shirtless.
Unfortunately, this did lead to Taylor Lautner having some major body image issues afterward, but at the time, it was wacky. Either Jacob came on screen without a shirt to begin with, it was taken off at some point in the conversation, or it was just ripped off when he transformed in and out of his wolf form. It happened so often that even characters would mention it, like Edward in Eclipse.

Twilight was one of the top novels and movies when it was released, with the fan base split in two between Jacob and Edward when wondering who Bella would end up with.
Bella, like movie love triangles, was a bit unfair, leaning on Jacob for comfort with Edward was out of the picture, ultimately leading him on. But that’s drama for you. One of the best Twilight movie quotes that is just weird is when Jacob accepts the fact that he lost the battle for Bella’s affection.
When doing this, he gave an accepting speech, saying that it would have been really easy for them to love, “easy as breathing” even, which is a cringe-worthy statement. He basically says that if there were no magic or creatures, she would have ended up with him, which is not really the most romantic declaration.

4. “You Nicknamed My Daughter After the Loch Ness Monster?” Bella Swan
To be fair, the whole pregnancy situation in the movie was weird to begin with. Not only was the pregnancy itself problematic, but the relationship between Jacob and her daughter was offputting. And when Bella learned about Jacob’s lovely nickname from beautiful Renesmee, she flipped.
The world that viewers are put in is magical and like a fairytale, but this line really took viewers out of the movie. It’s absurd and unnecessary honestly. She confronts Jacob, calling him out for nicknaming her daughter after the Loch Ness Monster by calling her Ness.
Ness is a decent nickname, but maybe Bella is even more enraged with Jacob imprinting on her daughter. The whole situation really took viewers out of the movie for sure.

3. “It Would Be Nice Not to Want to Kill You All the Time” Jasper
Twilight movie quotes are just awkward, and nothing says awkward like Jasper’s lovely comment in New Moon when there was a debate on whether Bella should change into a vampire or not. Jasper, the newest vegetarian in the Cullen family, always acted very strange around Bella because of his cravings.
He almost immediately voted yes when the question was raised about vampire Bella, confidently admitting that it would be nice not to want to kill her. Imagine the pure shock and fear that goes through you when you hear that.

2. “Say It. Out Loud” Edward
There are two great Twilight movie quotes that fans constantly think about when they think of Twilight, with one being when Bella confronts Edward about who he really is. The first movie sees Bella being captured by the mysterious Edward and her fascination with him.
She searches everything on what he possibly could be, and during their confrontation in the woods, she encourages him to admit it by saying she knows what he is. But Edward is almost messily behind her saying to “say it”.
It’s the pivotal moment in the first movie, and very dramatic, but also with the undertone of being hilarious because the scene is so over-the-top and the two are acting so awkward together.

1. “This Is the Skin of a Killer, Bella” Edward
Peak hilarity when it comes to the best Twilight movie quotes is with this line. Most vampires in media don’t stray too far from the main lore. They’re immortal, drink blood, and they don’t like the sun. Twilight, however, strays from the fact that vampires usually burn in the sun and use a different technique to make sense of them being out and about so often during the day.
When Bella and Edward are talking about Edward being a vampire and being completely dangerous, so she shouldn’t be around him, he tries to show her proof of him being dangerous by stepping into the light. The image matched with the words and tone are just too much to handle.
His face is almost distasteful and in anguish, as he grumbles “This is the skin of a killer, Bella”, however, all fans see is a sparkly man in the sunlight, twinkling and shining like a diamond. It’s hilarious, and a line that Twilight fans can’t get enough of every time they put the movie on. By far, this is the best Twilight movie quote ever.
