Probably the most iconic line in movie history is “We’re not in Kansas anymore”. And for the ones that are also from Kansas like me, you’ve no doubt had strangers reference this to you while you’re out traveling and mention where you’re from.

As she’s holding her precious dog Toto and looking in awe around Munchkinland, the movie transports viewers to the Land of Oz, and movies from black and white to technicolor, which surely made the 1939 audience gasp in surprise and delight.
