Cooper plays Pat, a man with bipolar disorder who is released from a psychiatric hospital and moves back in with his parents, hoping to win back his estranged wife.
When he meets a young widow, Tiffany, played by Lawrence, they form a bond and enter a dancing competition. Not only does it highlight mental disorders and issues, alongside grief, but it shows growth between two characters that form a bond that only grows by the day.
