With no real back catalog, Apple TV+ is reliant on fresh new shows to lure people in. Since their November launch, the shows haven’t come fast enough and that was especially true in January. Luckily February is slightly better.

Two new shows hit Apple TV+, including Mythic Quest: Raven’s Banquet and Visible: Out on Television. We’ve also included older shows streaming on Apple TV+ in February (not including launch shows) that add value to the service’s $4.99 monthly subscription.

CHECK OUT: Apple TV+ has better original content than Disney+

Mythic Quest: Raven’s Banquet

Mythic Quest: Raven’s Banquet is a comedy series by Rob McElhenney, the man behind It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia. The series is co-written by Charlie Day, who also wrote and starred in McElhenney’s vastly popular show (93 percent from reviewers on Rotten Tomatoes).

What we know so far is that McElhenney stars as a narcissistic developer, who leads a game studio as they expand their vastly popular online game, Mythic Quest. From the trailer, it looks like it has the potential to be a top 10 show in February.

The series has 9 episodes, all of which will be available on February 7th, and it has already been renewed for Season 2. The show will be in 4k with HDR, like all other Apple TV+ originals. Check out the trailer below.

Visible: Out on Television

Visible: Out on Television is a docuseries exploring the impact the LGBTQ movement has had on TV. It includes interviews with famous members of the movement, including Ellen DeGeneres and Rachel Maddow.

The docuseries spans 5 episodes and is available on February 14th. Episodes also include historical archival footage of key moments in the movement’s history. The series ranges on topics including homophobia and coming out on TV. Check out the trailer below.

Oprah’s Book Club

You get a car! And you get a car! We all get cars! Whoever you are, you’ve gotta love Oprah Winfrey. She is an inspiration for everyone. Don’t believe me — read her biography. Considering everything she has achieved with the hand she got dealt — no one has an excuse.

Apple TV+ has given Oprah the freedom to do what she wants. There are two documentaries, one about toxic labor — sexual harassment in the workplace. And the other with Prince Harry about mental health. For now, it’s Oprah’s Book Club that I’m picking out and as Episode 2 aired in January, the next one will be in March, giving you time to pick up and read the book Olive, Again this February.

Servant

I would pay $4.99 to watch the entire first season of Servant. This is the best endorsement I can give Apple TV+’s best show, and although it is slow-paced, it uses that time to twist and squirm, making you rethink where the story is heading. From the first scene, it teases.

The show has a poignant mental health story, with husband, wife, and brother dealing with loss differently. It’s through their nanny that the dynamic of the Turner household changes and where the dark fantasy creeps in.

There’s dark comedy throughout, with the leads breaking up the tension with dialogue and moments that fit the setting perfectly. Servant is simply unmissable.

Truth Be Told

Truth Be Told doesn’t live up to the pre-release hype but is on this list because it offers a different genre to what else is available on Apple TV+.

One of the surprising issues with Truth Be Told is that the Oscar-winning lead Octavia Spencer comes across as clunky. My original review came to this conclusion after 90 minutes and now I’ve watched all the available episodes, her performance doesn’t improve.

Despite the negative, the show looks and sounds fantastic. Plus it does have some good moments that might make it worth watching if you’re looking for a new crime drama. It scored 89 percent from reviewers on Rotten Tomatoes.

Little America

Little America is one of Apple TV+’s top-rated shows according to Rotten Tomatoes. Critics gave the docuseries 93%, with reviewers rating it slightly lower at 91%. Both are fantastic scores. Here’s what you need to know from its press release:

Inspired by the true stories featured in Epic Magazine, “Little America” will go beyond the headlines to look at the funny, romantic, heartfelt, inspiring and surprising stories of immigrants in America, when they’re more relevant now than ever.
