Seems like the simplest way to decide the national anthem “debate” is to resolve the following: A player (employee) has the right to protest on company time. The management and ownership (employer) have the right to dismiss the employee for protesting on company time. Simple.
What’s the problem then? Of course it’s the hypocrisy on both sides of the argument, yet why should we let common sense gets the way of feelings. Regardless, let’s take time and find out what’s happened to some of the more notable players who’ve chosen to protest the national anthem.
