Los Angeles Lakers star Brandon Ingram showed photoshop expertise as he tinkered with a picture to place himself alongside LeBron James when The King officially signed his new contract.
Ingram posted the image to Instagram and got his teammate Lonzo Ball in there as well:
It’s all in good fun, but James is going to want to be all business when he hits the court in L.A. One of the building blocks of the Lakers’ future is Ingram, who was the second overall pick in the 2016 draft—the same selection Los Angeles used to take Ball last year.
After making little impact as a rookie, Ingram stepped up in his sophomore NBA season, averaging 16.1 points, 5.3 rebounds and 3.9 assists. He figures to benefit from playing with James and continuing to grow with Ball.
Although Ball is a high-IQ dynamic playmaker who lifts the level of teammates around him, his jumper is lacking. However, Ball, Ingram and the rest of the Lakers will get more open looks than ever with James drawing the attention of defenses.
Ingram is evidently appreciative of James’ arrival. It will be key for him to carry himself like a veteran, though, if he’s meant to maximize the benefits of playing with arguably the best player ever and boost Los Angeles into the playoff conversation.
