Hall of Fame wrestler Hulk Hogan is prepared to return to the ring for the first time since 2015. That is, of course, if WWE head honcho Vince McMahon will welcome him back.
McMahon severed ties wth the Hulk back in 2015 after comments from years before surfaced including some racially derogatory terms.
While McMahon has not touched on the topic, Hogan recently noted that he’d love to return to the WWE.
“For me, I’d love to change that last story that was told with the Hulk Hogan career,” he told TMZ Sports. “I’d love to get back in the fold, get back on the inside and correct a lot of stuff.”
This would represent the fifth comeback of a career that spanned five decades. And it sounds like something could be in the works.
“It has to be the perfect timing for both sides. We’re all on good terms,” Hogan continued. “We’re all working towards the same goal. So hopefully, I’ll be able to be back with my wrestling family some day soon.”
At a time when the WWE was able to lure former world champ Ronda Rousey from the UFC, it seems the sport is on the uptick.
It also seems that the legendary Ric Flair is all supportive of the idea of Hulk returning. Here’s a video of his comments on Hogan’s potential return.
We’ll see soon enough if any of this gains traction. But who wouldn’t want to see Hulk and Rousey team up in the newly formed Mixed Match Challenge?
